I am safely back from the trip to the land of Versilia (400 km below the flood), for Terre di Toscana 2011 .
Given the number of events, 120 Tuscan producers, 500 wines for tasting, I will not try even to make a record, but I would simply point out only the products that I am most liked among those, about fifty, which I arbitrarily tasted (I pointed out the labels of the older vintages):
- Terenzuola , Hills Luni Vermentino Fosso di Corsano 2009;
- Montauto , plasterer and Enos 2009 I 2009
- Mattia Barzaghi, Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2009 Zeta
- Of , Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Bossona 2006 and 2001
- Mastrojanni , Rosso di Montalcino and 2009 Brunello di Montalcino 2006
- Montevertine , Pian del Ciampoli 2009, 2008 and Montevertine 1980
- Stony , Brunello di Montalcino 2006
- Podere San Giacomo , Brunello di Montalcino 2006 Poggio
- Argentiera , Capatosta 2008 and 1999 (anxiously waiting for 2009 )
- Salustri, Santa Marta Montecucco 2007
- Sesti, 2009 Rosso di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino 2006, 2005 and Reserve Phenomena 2003
- Estate Collosorbo , Brunello di Montalcino 2006, 2004 and Reserve 1998.
Overall a successful event that provides several keys to learn or improve the Tuscan wine: ripe given the size, I would recommend the day on Monday (tomorrow) to visit, maybe a few bottles of cry will be exhausted, but the cries fade away.
